The image document, the miniature of the Reichenauer Evangeliar is included in the chapterGermany in the 10th and 11th centuries. The rush to the West Slavic territories ". It is a half of the two-sided image of homage from the Evangeliar, which was made around 998 in Reichenau monastery on behalf of Emperor Otto III. (now in the possession of the Bavarian State Library Munich). The corresponding image of the rulers, pictured differently here than in the Evangeliar - viz. on the right and in a small format - shows the emperor enthroned, surrounded by the Reichskirche and the imperial nobility. He is honored by four provinces of his empire: Roma, Gallia, Germania and Slavinia, the West Slavs.
Chłapowski, Władysław
The history textbook Historia powszechna was designed for the use at the upper secondary level in Poland. The history book was published by today's largest textbook publisher in Poland. It starts with the end of the 4th century and the Roman Empire and it concludes with the consequences of the Thirty Years' War and a brief description of Baroque culture. In the imprint it is noted that the author has used the manuscript of the still very popular volume of the important Polish medieval historian Tadeusz Manteuffel for the majority of his remarks.
The textbook is very rich in maps and black-and-white illustrations.
